my family is super religious and when I was younger my mother refused to let me play a game named after the devil. I bought the game installed it in a folder she couldn’t find it. I forgot what i named it but I hid it somewhere in the system preferences. Good times

I think it was the Latin chanting in the One Winged Angel song specifically that he didn’t like. Haha, I just remembered, we were sitting around listening to it, and he was all like “This Sephiroth, is he a satanic being?” and we were like “Uh no, he’s the boss of a video game.” and then you were like “What’s your problem?”

He had a game plan. It was eat punches, do some cool judo, and then lose. I’d say he executed it perfectly.
Pretty sure I spent like 90% of my adolescence at this arcade. It was amazing. Admission was $1.95, and all the games were 5¢, 10¢, or 15¢ (the big machines like DDR were the more expensive ones, all the normal games were a nickel), and there was a wall of games in the back that were on free play, which included the original Darkstalkers (with a broken second controller, so you could only play 1 player.) You could literally spend all day there for less than $5.
I just checked, it’s still there, but apparently they’ve raised the admission fee to $3. :p
My gym is in the same parking lot as this place. I keep meaning to go back in between classes, but I never do. :(
